My career in the financial industry began with a position as a collections officer for the Bank of Monongah when I was fresh out of Fairmont State College with a degree in Industrial Personnel Psychology. I then spent two years as a bank loan officer before marrying into the U.S. Army Special Forces and relocating to North Carolina with my husband, John.
My first opportunity there was in property management; I was responsible for more than 400 properties, and from that experience I realized I wanted to get into the business of mortgage lending, to help individuals and families realize their dreams of home ownership. During this career journey, I completed my Masters of Business Administration, graduating summa cum laude from the University of Findlay.
After my husband retired from the Army, we moved back to West Virginia with our son, Sam, and I took a position as branch manager for a bank in Bridgeport. Later, I became a mortgage originator at the main office, and in 2005 I was offered a position as Vice President of Mortgage Lending.
I am proud to represent Intercoastal Mortgage and share my 20+ years of business and life experience with my colleagues and clients. I am a 2000 graduate of the Leadership West Virginia Program and continue to maintain my real estate broker’s license and participate actively with the Board of Realtors in the Harrison County area. I serve on the Executive Committee of Farmers Mutual Insurance and on the West Virginia Real Estate Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board of Directors.
